- Transport clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables
- Portion and wrap foods
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
- Replace and carry linen
- Clean and sanitize items like dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
- Dispose of kitchen garbage and trash
- Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
- Place dishes in storage areas
- Package take-out food
- Portion and wrap foods
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
- Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
- Take customers' orders
