We have been servicing British Columbia generator needs since 1975 with the focus on the service and sales, rental, and installation of new and used diesel, natural gas, & propane-powered industrial generators from a variety of manufacturers.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to learn from people who have been in the trades for over 30 years. We are one of eight generator companies in the lower mainland and we are willing to train you from the from the shop floor to a Field Technician.

You will learn how to perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and diagnosing repairs to generators as well as participating in the installation and commissioning of new generators.

Qualifications/Experience/Education/Physical Requirements:

  • Secondary school completion
  • 2 years+ experience as an electrician working on generators
  • Diploma or degree in electrical engineering will be preferred.
  • Possible progression to Journeyman role in near future with experience with company and getting journeyman license
  • Indoors and outdoors in Canadian Weather
  • Extended periods of time of standing, sitting, crouching
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Use of power hand tools
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing or pulling.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including, days, evening, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have driver license - Class 5.
  • Must have basic computer and accurate data entry skills.
  • Must be punctual.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatuses
  • Assist in Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatuses
  • Assist in Rental, New, Used electrical equipment maintenance & repairs
  • Shop Vehicle Maintenance
  • Assist in administration such as reporting to the management and ordering of electrical supplies & equipment

Other Accountabilities:

  • Assisting Project/Installation Department with electrical and other work as required
  • Assisting Rental Department as required
