We are currently searching for an experienced Bricklayer.
Work Location:
Various locations in the GTA
Duties:
- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
- Estimate materials, tools and equipment required for projects
- Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
- Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge in preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles and/ or other masonry units.
You will be required to train apprentices.
Work setting:
Construction, Repair, Renovation, Willing to relocate, Industrial, Residential
Own Tools/Equipment: Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Gloves, trowel, shoveler, pencil, tape, belt with hammer
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, bending
Own tools/equipment:
tools, safety equipment/gear, steel-toed safety boots, hard hart, gloves, safety glasses/googles
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of work experience
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Terms of Employment:
Permanent Position/40 hours per week
Hours of Work:
From Monday to Friday
The shift is from 7 am to 3 pm

Salary:
$ 50.83 per hour according to the LiUNA local 183
