Industrial Electrician

Languages Required:: English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience: 5 years or more

Responsibilities: 

• Install and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices

• Install electrical wiring, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, receptacles, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components

• Maintain, test, and repair industrial instrumentation and electrical devices

• Replace or repair electrical components

• Test equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance

• Install, test, and maintain switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors

• Maintain and repair motors, generators, alternators, storage batteries, and control systems

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial control systems

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications

• Conduct preventive maintenance and keep detailed records

• Interpret and apply electrical code specifications

Supervision:

• Responsible for supervising 1 to 2 people

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Certification: Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate

• Security & Safety:

  • Bondable

  • Basic security clearance

  • Criminal record check

  • Driver’s license validity check

• Transportation:

  • Valid driver's licence

  • Own vehicle
