JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in vendor negotiations, procurement administration, and cost assessment, with the ability to streamline purchasing processes and manage supplier relationships to support operational and financial objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:
- Manage the planning, coordination, supervision and assessment of the organization’s purchasing functions
- Formulate and execute purchasing policies and procedures while managing budget controls
- Identify, review and maintain strong relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, volume discounts, and terms to meet operational and cost objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate procurement to match logistics, warehousing, and transportation needs.
- Assess cost, quality, and compliance of goods or services
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and improve purchasing processes for efficiency.
- Review and resolve supplier claims, disputes, or performance issues.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with logistics, operations, finance, and legal teams.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of bachelor’s degree in related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, or related administrative roles.
- Ability to communicate in English (oral and written).
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
- Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, data entry, and report preparation.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in a deadline-driven setting.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of supply chain processes and procurement best practices.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent Full-time, Long-term.
WAGES: $50.00/HR
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week
OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.
BENEFITS PACKAGE:
- Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer.
- Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.
