Overview
As a Restaurant Supervisor at Smitty’s, you will play a leadership role in ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent guest service, and a productive, motivated team. You’ll oversee front- and back-of-house activities, support staff performance, and contribute to a positive and efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management

Supervise day-to-day restaurant operations including opening, closing, and shift changeovers

Ensure all areas meet cleanliness, safety, and operational standards

Monitor food and service quality and address any issues proactively
Staff Supervision
-
Coordinate staff schedules, assign tasks, and manage break periods
-
Train new employees and provide ongoing support and feedback to the team

Support team performance through leadership and motivation
Customer Service
-
Greet and interact with guests, ensuring satisfaction with service and meals

Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly
-
Promote a welcoming, customer-focused environment
Inventory & Cash Handling

Assist in ordering, receiving, and managing inventory and supplies

Monitor stock levels to reduce waste and shortages
-
Perform cash-outs, reconcile tills, and maintain accurate transaction records
Team Leadership

Foster a collaborative and respectful work culture

Support communication between kitchen and front-of-house staff
-
Act as a point of contact for escalated issues during shifts
Qualifications
-
Previous supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or food service environment

Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and restaurant operations

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Availability to work full-time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
