2 x Permanent Full-Time Cook wanted for “1609673 Alberta Ltd. o/a Golden Bell Sub and Grill Vietnamese Restaurant” located at Unit #101 - 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8. Wage rate is $36.00 per hour and works at least 30-44 hours per week. Benefit includes 4% vacation pay and continuous learning opportunity.
JOB DUTIES
- Prepare and cook complete meals and/or individual dishes and foods.
- Prepare and cook special meals for customers as requested such as those with food allergies or intolerances.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Manage kitchen operations.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas.
- Plan menus and determine size of food portions.
- Estimate food requirements’ costs and order supplies as often as necessary.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
Skills/Personal Suitability Requirements: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use. Able and Willing to work weekends and overtime.
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Language: English
Work experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as cook is required. Experience in Vietnamese cuisine is an asset.
