Job Title:


Welder/Fitter – Stainless Steel



Wage: $30-37 per hour - permanent/full-time


Location: Oakville, Ontario


Number of Positions: 6


Required Language Skills: English (Spoken)


Who we are:


Turnkey Modular Systems designs and custom manufactures piping systems, structures and tanks. We offer customized process systems that meet the modular needs of the pharmaceutical and food industries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to execute fabrication of piping systems, equipment tie-ins and piping system repairs.

  • Set up components for fitting according to specifications (e.g. cut and face material with GF saws/tools to match measurements).

  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape

  • Perform mechanical installation and related maintenance work as required.

  • On occasion perform off-site re-assembly, installation, modification or other related assignments.

  • Where required, maintain records on jobs.

  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with standard procedures.

  • Organize daily tasks and follow supervisor requests to ensure production needs are met.

  • Participate with team to implement continuous improvement activities.

  • Comply with, and promote awareness of the Turnkey Modular Systems’ Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality policies and procedures.

  • Assist other trades as required

Required Skills:

  • At least five (5) years of experience with Fitting and Welding.

  • At least five (5) years of experience with Stainless Steel Welding, including tubing, pipe and/or structural steel.

  • At least two (2) years of experience with biotech/pharmaceutical equipment or piping systems.

  • At least two (2) years of experience reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints and specifications.

  • At least two (2) years of experience creating and maintaining weld logs and instructional manuals.


Required Education:

  • Pressure welding certificates

  • Welding Techniques Technical Diploma from a reputable trade school
