The restaurant is looking for 2 energetic and efficient Cooks to join our team. This is a permanent full time position reporting directly to the Supervisor / Owner.

Job Description and Duties:

  • Prepare and cook ethnic East Indian food

  • Ensure quality of food and determine size of food portioning

  • Estimate food requirements and cost

  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

  • Monitor and order supplies

  • Responsible for overall cleaning of the kitchen and work area

  • Maintain a safe work environment

Terms of Employment: Permanent; Full Time; Long Term

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Wages: $15.00 per hour

Location of Work: 2961 Cambie Street, Vancouver, BC V5Z 2V7 Canada

Anticipated Start Date of Employment:  As soon as possible

Education, Experience and Language Requirements:

  • Completion of High School

  • At least two years of experience as cook

  • Able to communicate in English

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Standing for extended period of time

  • Lifting and moving heavy loads

  • Repetitive tasks

  • Work under pressure

  • Multi-tasking

  • Must have open availability and able to work in the evenings and weekends
