  • Purchasing supervisor is a pivotal player in the sourcing planning process. They help companies identify problems as they develop, manufacture, store, and ship products.




  • Knowledge of global procurement policies and strong negotiation skills




  • Purchasing function requires an understanding of accounting, legal documents, and to build lasting relationships as they increase efficiency and focus on supply chain optimization.




  • Purchasing supervisor must be able to find creative solutions, generate reports and present findings to upper management and other departments, communicate with external suppliers and buyers, comprehend legal documents, and developing lasting relationships with others. They must be proactive problem solvers with a desire to collaborate with others.


    Experience


    5 years or more of experience in purchasing functions; knowledge of Asian supplier market and production


    Security and safety: criminal record check


    Work: conditions and physical capabilities. work under pressure; repetitive tasks, attention to detail tight deadlines to stand the pressure of a growing company willing to travel 25% of the time

    Job duties


      




  • Purchase textile materials, or business services from Asian countries for use or for further processing by their establishment




  • Assess requirements of an establishment and develop specifications for textile materials and supplies to be purchased




  • Establish logistics of delivery schedules, monitor progress and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems




  • May hire, train or supervise purchasing clerks.




  • Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreements.




  • Manage the inventory planning, purchasing and import process. Provide inventory control through effective processes, counts, analysis and corrective actions with 3PL(s).




  • Prepare, review and control operational budgets. Provide updated monthly forecasts




  •  buying or approving the acquisition of goods and services needed by the company




  • seeking reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods at reasonable prices. negotiating prices and contracts




  •  Responsible for buying the best quality products, goods and services for their company at the most competitive prices 




  • may oversee the acquisition of materials needed for production, general supplies for offices and facilities, equipment contracts.
