Accounting technician and Bookkeeper
Lincoln Motel is a well-established hospitality business. We are committed to providing quality service to our guests and maintaining strong internal operations. We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Technician and Bookkeeper to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Accounting Technician and Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day accounting transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the motel. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, trustworthy, and experienced in bookkeeping and accounting functions.

Period of Contract: 2 years
Work Schedule: 35 - 40 hours per week
Terms: Full time, Permanent
Overtime Conditions: 1.5 times the normal rate as per provincial regulations
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable

Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank and credit card statements

Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports

Perform payroll processing and related remittances

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports

Assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking

Maintain general ledger and journal entries

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations

Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required

Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:

Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field

Proven experience as an Accounting Technician or Bookkeeper

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)

Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset
