Job Overview
Precision Sharpening is seeking an experienced Machining Foreman/Forewoman to supervise shop operations and lead a skilled machining team. This is a hands-on, on-site role in a fast-paced custom machining environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CADD and other computer software systems
-
Set up machines and CNC equipment
-
Supervise workers and machining projects (3–4 employees)

Coordinate and schedule daily production activities

Prepare production and operational reports
-
Train or arrange training for staff
-
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
-
Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
Supervision & Team Leadership
You will oversee staff across multiple functions, including:
-
Machine operators
-
Machinists and machining/tooling inspectors
-
Tool and die makers
-
Welders
Education & Experience
-
College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma (1–2 years), or equivalent experience
-
2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience
Certifications & Credentials

Machinist Trade Certification
-
WHMIS Certificate
Industry Experience

Custom machining
-
Machinery and metal equipment products manufacturing
