Position Summary

ANET Fiber Tech Inc. is hiring a dependable Building Handyman / Maintenance Worker for our Wetaskiwin, Alberta location. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role in a rural work environment. You will perform general building maintenance, cleaning, minor repairs, and groundskeeping duties while working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

You will:

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and remove debris and refuse

• Empty garbage and waste containers

• Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings

• Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems

• Carry out minor appliance repairs

• Conduct safety and security checks

• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies

• Perform routine maintenance such as painting and drywall repair

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures

• Water and maintain plants, lawns, and gardens

• Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking areas

• Contact licensed tradespersons for major repairs when required

• Work with minimal supervision

Employment Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• 1 year to less than 2 years of related experience

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written)

• Ability to work on-site in a rural environment
