Location: 2710 N Park Drive Unit 12, Brampton, ON L6S 0E9
Salary: $36.25 hourly / 30 hours per Week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan menus and determine required ingredients to ensure efficient food preparation.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to established recipes.
• Modify and prepare meals to accommodate customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
• Prepare specialized meals based on specific dietary instructions when required.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.
• Train kitchen staff in proper food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling practices.
• Order food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment to support daily operations.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
• Maintain inventory and keep accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas at all times.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring kitchen staff as needed.
• Organize and prepare food for buffets, banquets, and special events.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure timely and consistent food service.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Proven experience of 7 months to less than 1 year as a cook, preferably in Asian or Hakka cuisine
• Completion of secondary school
• Knowledge of traditional Hakka cooking methods, ingredients, and flavors
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to prepare meals quickly and accurately in a high-pressure environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good English communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
