Concrete finisher

We are seeking a skilled and experienced concrete finisher who can perform the following duties, to join our construction team.

Duties

• Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved.
• Polishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools and surfacing machines
• Check formwork, concrete quality, and granular base, steel reinforcement materials as per requirements, grade and code.
• Monitoring the effect heat, wind and cold have on curing concrete to ensure high-quality results.
• Level top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications using straightedge, float or other hand tools.
• Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces.
• Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete and also in repair of old concrete floors, sidewalks etc.
• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete.
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of floors, walls, roads and other concrete structures.
