Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Duties and Responsibilities -

Operate various types of manual, semi-automatic, and automated welding equipment to repair, join, and fabricate metal components used in truck and trailer repair operations.

Review and interpret welding blueprints, technical drawings, repair manuals, specifications, and work instructions to determine welding procedures and requirements.

Inspect completed welds to ensure proper quality, strength, accuracy, and compliance with required industry standards and customer specifications.

Use manual or semi-automatic cutting equipment, including flame-cutting tools, to cut and prepare metal parts according to repair and fabrication requirements.

Operate metalworking equipment such as brakes, shears, and other machinery used for shaping, bending, straightening, and forming metal components.

Use pre-adjusted and configured welding machines to manufacture, repair, and modify truck and trailer frames, parts, and other metal assemblies.

Operate pre-set brazing and soldering equipment to join metal components or repair gaps, cracks, holes, and surface imperfections in metal parts.

Set up, start, stop, adjust, and monitor automated or robotic welding systems used in the production and repair of truck and trailer components.

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on welding, brazing, soldering machines, and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills to understand instructions, safety procedures,and work orders.
- Work must be performed on-site at the repair shop, with no option for remote work.
- Work environment may include outdoor conditions and exposure to dust, heat, noise, odours, and dirtysurroundings.
- Ability to handle heavy metal parts, tools, and equipment in a physically demanding repair environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure welding quality, safety, and repair standards are met.
- Demonstrates flexibility, reliability, and a hardworking attitude while working in a fast-paced shopenvironment.
