Finish Carpenter

Terms of Employment: Permanent employment Full time, $38.50 hourly / 32 to 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Languages: Written and Spoken English are required

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty, At heights, Dusty, Confined spaces

Work setting: Construction, Various locations, Renovation, Commercial, Residential, Repair and maintenance services

Duties:

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Estimate costs and materials
• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and commercial projects and other establishments

Supervision : 1-2 people
