Restaurant Manager

Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Tasks:
Plan and direct the daily operations of the restaurant;
Recruit, train and supervise kitchen and food-service staff in food preparation, customer service, sanitation and safe food-handling procedures;
Prepare staff work schedules, assign duties and monitor employee attendance, productivity and performance;
Ensure that meals are prepared according to established recipes, portion standards and customer requirements, including orders involving food allergies or intolerances;
Inspect kitchen, dining and food-service areas to ensure compliance with health, sanitation and workplace-safety regulations;
Monitor the quantity and quality of food products and supplies received from vendors;
Maintain operational, inventory, sales and employee records and prepare reports as required by the owner or franchise management;
Address and resolve customer complaints and ensure that customers receive prompt and satisfactory service;
Ensure that restaurant equipment is properly operated, cleaned and maintained, and arrange for repairs or servicing when required;
Perform other related managerial duties necessary to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the restaurant.
