We are urgently looking to hire 4 long haul truck drivers for our team.
Employment Requirements
- Must have Class 1 OR A or equal Driver's License from B.C. or any other Canadian province.
- Completion of secondary school education.
- No experience is required. On the Job Training will be provided.
- Proficiency to communicate in basic English.
- Clean Driving abstract is required.
- Willing to travel across border, for extended periods, overnight and drive as a team.
Job Duties/Tasks
- Operate and drive company 8 axles B-train trucks to haul up to 63,500 kgs heavy freight, consisting of a prime mover towing two semi-trailers to transport freight from one place to other in long haul
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform brake adjustments
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Ensuring safety and security of cargo

We would try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to the work schedule for our truck drivers. We try our level best to offer you the maximum family time.
As per Canada labour code for highway drivers overtime rate of 1.5 times the regular pay is applicable after 60 hours of work per week. Vacation pay is 4% of the gross salary included in every pay check.
