Job Description
- Prepare soil and planting areas for blueberry plants.
- Plant, transplant, cultivate, irrigate, and maintain blueberry crops.
- Prune blueberry bushes and remove damaged or unwanted branches to support healthy plant growth.
- Apply mulch and assist with weed control and general field maintenance.
- Monitor crops for signs of pests, diseases, weeds, and other plant health concerns and report issues to the supervisor.
- Operate and assist with farm machinery, irrigation systems, tools, and equipment used in crop maintenance and field operations.
- Repair and maintain irrigation lines, farm tools, equipment, and growing areas as required.
- Harvest blueberries and handle produce carefully to maintain quality.
- Sort, inspect, grade, and prepare harvested produce for packing, storage, or shipment.
- Clean fields, work areas, harvesting containers, tools, and farm equipment.
- Assist with post-harvest field cleanup and preparation of plants and growing areas for the next production cycle.
- Load, unload, and move farm supplies, equipment, containers, and harvested produce.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and instructions provided by the farm supervisor.
