Job duties:
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
- Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers
- Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time
Experience:5 years or more of Chinese wok cooking
Other requirements:
- Proficient in wok tossing, able to independently handle wok station duties
- Able to maintain consistent food preparation speed and dish quality during peak hours
- Able to strictly adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Able to operate commercial kitchen equipment such as wok ranges, deep fryers and steamers
