CONSTRUCTION WORKER
Position Overview:
The Construction Laborer will support ongoing residential and commercial construction projects by performing skilled and semi-skilled labor tasks. The employee will contribute to the completion of framing, concrete, finishing, and installation work, while ensuring full compliance with workplace safety guidelines.
Main Duties:

Load, unload, and transport construction materials.

Assist carpenters, concrete workers, and tradespersons.

Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and gravel.

Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and barricades.

Level earth, backfill, and excavate areas to prepare sites.

Use various tools (saws, drills, compactors, etc.).

Install components including drywall, insulation, flooring, and hardware.

Perform demolition and site clean-up activities.

Maintain accurate timing and task logs as required by supervisors.
Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in construction or similar labor work.

Ability to understand and follow instructions and construction plans.

Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.
-
Familiar with occupational health and safety practices.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements:
-
Safety certification an asset (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights).

Must be willing to work outdoors and in variable weather.
