Tropicana Suite Hotel is located in Downtown Vancouver district and offers views of North Shore Mountain. The venue comprises of 74 rooms.  The place is less than 1250 meters away from Cathedral Square.  North Vancouver Museum and other nearby attractions including an art gallery, a cathedral and a museum are just few meters away from our establishment.

Our company is holding full occupancy and hosting numerous guests throughout the year. We are embarking on a major expansion and diversification effort and are seeking a talented and experienced Hotel Assistant Manager.

Job title and Position: Hotel Assistant Manager

Employment terms: Permanent, Full time (40 hours per week)

Salary: $25/hour

Minimum Education Requirements: University or College Diploma in hotel management or other related discipline is usually required.

Minimum Experience Requirements: At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the industry are usually required and may substitute for formal education


Employment Duties

  • Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures for the operation of the department or establishment

  • Assists in preparing budgets and monitoring of revenues and expenses

  • Participate in the development of pricing and promotional strategies

  • Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities for reception and other functions

  • Recruit and supervise staff, oversee training and set work schedules

  • Resolve customer complaints
