Job title: Supply Chain/Purchasing Supervisor (NOC 1225)
Education: K-12 equivalent; college degree an advantage but not required
Our purchasing supervisor is a pivotal player in the sourcing planning process. He/she will help us identify problems as suppliers develop, manufacture, store, and ship products.
Knowledge of procurement policies and strong negotiation skills
Our purchasing supervisor must be able to find creative solutions, generate reports and present findings to the president, communicate with external suppliers and buyers, comprehend legal documents, and developing lasting relationships with suppliers.
5 years or more of experience in purchasing functions; knowledge of Asian especially Vietnam supplier market and production
Security and safety: criminal record check
Work: conditions and physical capabilities. work under pressure; repetitive tasks, attention to detail tight deadlines to stand the pressure of a growing company willing to travel 30-40% of the time
Skills requirements and personal suitability
Effective interpersonal skills, flexibility, accurate, team player, good oral communication in English, good written communication, dependability
Purchase furniture and furnishings from Vietnam for export and sale in Canada
Establish logistics of delivery schedules, monitor progress and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
Manage the inventory planning, purchasing and import process.
Prepare, review and control operational budgets. Provide updated monthly forecasts
Seek and negotiate with reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods at reasonable prices. negotiating prices and contracts
Responsible for buying the best quality products, goods and services for their company at the most competitive prices
reviewing technical specifications for raw materials and components
determining quantity and timing of deliveries
Salary range: $22-27/hour
