Position Summary


Gelderman Farms is currently seeking a Swine Herdsperson to join its team.  The main responsibility is to help us monitor the health of animals.  We are looking for someone who has prior experience working in a hog and pig farming operation.  The role requires someone comfortable in a farm setting and handling equipment to perform farm duties.


 


Job Detail


Job Title: Swine Herdsperson


Positions Available: 1


Salary: $22.00 per hour for 40 hours per week


Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time


Language: English


Start Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible


Vacation: 4% of gross salary in lieu of vacation time


Work Location: 35805 Vye Rd, Abbotsford BC


Employment conditions: Must be available to work early morning, morning and day shift.  The position is physically demanding and you will be standing for extended periods of time.


Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience


Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience


Security and Safety: Must own/wear steel-toed safety boots and have a valid driver’s license.


 


Job Description
