Position Summary

Swift Management is seeking a motivated Public Relations Co-ordinator to join its team.  The main responsibilities of the role are to coordinate marketing and communications material for the company.  You will be the developing and implanting communications strategies as well as acting as the spokesperson for the company.

Job Title: Public Relations Co-ordinator

Salary: $29.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Language: English

Start Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Vacation: 4% of gross salary in lieu of vacation time

Work Location: Delta, BC

Employment conditions: Must be available for morning and day shifts, overtime required

Education: College/ CEGEP

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Transportation: Valid driver's licence, willing to travel regularly, Travel expenses paid by employer

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Ability to Supervise: Staff in various areas of responsibility

 

Job Description

  • Gather, research and prepare communications material
  • Act as a spokesperson for the organization
  • Answer written and oral inquiries
  •  Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys
  •  Initiate and maintain contact with the media
  • Develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies and programs
  • Develop and organize workshops, meetings, and other events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes
  • Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters, and other materials
  • Coordinate special publicity events and promotions
