Position Summary

Lakewood Inn is seeking a cook to join its team. The role requires preparing and cooking meals and dishes for customers as well as maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.

Salary: $15.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Language: English

Start Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Vacation: 4% of gross salary in lieu of vacation time

Work Location: 100 Mile House; Employer will cover the relocation costs; Staff accommodation is available

Employment conditions: Must be available for evening, night, weekend and overtime shifts

Education: No Degree, certificate, or diploma

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience

Transportation: Own Vehicle

 

Job Description

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes
• Prepare and cook special meals as instructed by chef
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions
• Estimate food requirements and costs, monitor and order supplies and equipment
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Organize and manage buffet
