We are about staple North Indian and South Indian food offering different Appetizers, varieties of Roti’s, Curries, Biryani, Side Orders, Desserts. The restaurant is looking for 2 energetic and efficient Cooks to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position reporting directly to the Supervisor / Owner.

Job Description and Duties:

 

-          Prepare and cook ethnic East Indian food

-          Ensure quality of food and determine the size of food portions

-          Estimate food requirements and cost

-          Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

-          Monitor and order supplies

-          Responsible for overall cleaning of the kitchen and work area

-          Maintain a safe work environment

 

Terms of Employment: Permanent; Full Time; Long Term

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Wages: $16.00 per hour

Location of Work: 2961 Cambie Street, Vancouver, BC V5Z 2V7 Canada

Anticipated Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible

 

Education, Experience and Language Requirements:

-          Completion of High School

-          At least two years of experience as a cook

-          Able to communicate in English

 

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

-          Standing for extended period of time

-          Lifting and moving heavy loads

-          Repetitive tasks

-          Work under pressure

-          Multi-tasking

-          Must have open availability and able to work in the evenings and weekends
