Personal Care Provider - Home Care

40 hours per week; 2 days off

NOC Group: Personal Care Provider – Home Care, Home support workers, and Related Occupations (4412)

Work Setting: Private residence in West Vancouver, BC of the employer where care will be provided for an elderly man.

Education: Minimum - Canadian high school or the equivalent.

Language: Ability to speak read and write in English and communicate in an unsupervised setting.

Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a care giving setting.

Tasks required include, but not limited to: assisting with dressing, assisting with grooming and personal hygiene (including bathing and bowel care), assisting with meal preparation; assisting with the administration of medications; accompanying elder to any medical appointments; assisting in the daily activities of life; light housekeeping and cleaning duties; ensuring a safe and healthy environment; showing compassion towards care for elder.
