Job Summary:


The Concrete Finisher Foreman/Forewoman is responsible supervising the placement, finishing, protecting or repairing concrete or epoxy on our projects throughout the Lower Mainland. Among the tasks performed on a daily basis are: supervising the work of concrete laborers responsible for preparing, placing, finishing, and curing concrete or epoxy, preparing work schedules for concrete laborers, analyzing blueprints, project planning, producing reports, and other managerial tasks are required.

Job Description and Duties:

  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule construction workers and other staff on a daily basis.
  • Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.
  • Develop and establish methods that ensure meeting work schedules and allow proper coordination with other departments, subcontractors and their respective managers.
  • Monitor, resolve and report any work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Responsible for onboarding new workers in all aspects of the job
  • Evaluate worker performance and recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
  • Prepare reports on performance and planning.
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Plan each project into different stages and evaluating, procuring and monitoring required labor and materials per stage.
  • Consulting blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure that concrete structures are accurately placed and installed
  • Supervise the installation of polished concrete, epoxy, urethane, and hard surface flooring systems
  • Manage team of labourers to assist with all installations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations.


Terms of Employment: Permanent Full Time, Long Term


Hours of Work: 40 hours per week 


Wages:  $35.50 per hour


Overtime: 
One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations 

Benefits Package: 

  • Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer
  • Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a
    semi-monthly basis

Anticipated Start Date of Employment:  As soon as possible


Education, Experience and Language Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School is an asset
  • One year of related experience
  • Able to communicate in English


Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: 

  • Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, manual dexterity and
    hand-eye coordination
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling
  • Strength and agility are necessary for lifting and climbing
