Baker

Baker needed for busy Mediterranean (Balkan) delicatessen.                                                                              

Salary $20.00/h, permanent full -time (40 hours per week)

Job requirements: 2-3 years of experience, ability, knowledge and experience in baking traditional Mediterranean (Balkan) breads and pastries, personal suitability: dependability, team player, reliability, willing to relocate/relocation cost covered

Duties: prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to Mediterranean recipes or special customer orders (Traditional lepinja bunns ( ala naan bread ), Pita and burek layered cheese/meat pie making experience, gibanica, pogacica, kolac ), Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods, sets time and speed controls for mixing machines, or blending machines, or mixes by hand so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions, measure or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, bake mixed dough and batters, prepare special orders, draw up production schedules, ensure that the quality of products meets established standards, inspect kitchen and food service areas, operate machinery,  prepare garnishes as needed for baked goods, maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage and refrigeration, keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products, follow up hygiene and safety procedures.
