Languages: English

 

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

 

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

 

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Cellular phone

 

Security and Safety: Valid passport, Basic security clearance, Drug test, Medical exam, Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)

 

Transportation/Travel Information

Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel internationally, Valid driver's licence, Willing to travel overnight

Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports, Maintenance, and repair reports

 

Specific Skills

Load and unload goods, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform brake adjustments, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Transport and handle dangerous goods, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
