Nippon Sushi is a Japanese restaurant located in Moncton, NB and we are looking for a full-time cook who can work with us.

 

Working hours: 30 - 40 hours per week

Wage: $13 per hour

 

Job Description

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, especially hot plates such as Teriyaki, Bulgogi, Soup and Bento boxes

Assist the Sushi chef in preparing all kinds of Sushi, Sashimi and roll plates

Plan menus, determine size of food portions

Estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies

Inspect kitchens and food service areas

Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

Order supplies and equipment

Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

Clean kitchen and work areas

 

Requirements

Completion of Secondary education

Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Japanese or Asian restaurant

Good knowledge of Japanese meals will be a great asset

Must speak English

Must be available for working in the evening and weekend
