Family Physician

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Working with patients in order to improve the health and wellbeing of the patients.
• Promote good health and prevention of illness
• Counselling patients on preventions of illness
• Prescribe or administer medication, vaccination and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease.
• Perform physical exams and immunizations
• Management of all acute and chronic Illness
• Record and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports and examination results.
• Monitor patients conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatment as necessary
• Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
• Advise patients concerning diet, activity and disease prevention.
• Refer patients to medical specialists when necessary.
• Deal with other issues that come up on a day to day basis
