We are about staple North Indian and South Indian food offering different Appetizers, varieties of Roti’s, Curries, Biryani, Side Orders, Desserts. The restaurant is looking for an energetic and efficient Cook to join our team. This is a permanent full time position reporting directly to the Supervisor / Owner.

Job Description and Duties:

-          Prepare and cook ethnic East Indian food

-          Ensure quality of food and determine size of food portioning

-          Estimate food requirements and cost

-          Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

-          Monitor and order supplies

-          Responsible for overall cleaning of the kitchen and work area

-          Maintain a safe work environment

 

Terms of Employment: Permanent; Full Time; Long Term

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Wages: $16.50 per hour

Location of Work: 2961 Cambie Street, Vancouver, BC V5Z 2V7 Canada

Anticipated Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible

 

Education, Experience and Language Requirements:

-          Completion of High School

-          At least two years of experience as cook

-          Able to communicate in English

 

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

-          Standing for extended period of time

-          Lifting and moving heavy loads

-          Repetitive tasks

-          Work under pressure

-          Multi-tasking

-          Must have open availability and able to work in the evenings and weekends
