Education- Secondary (High) School Graduate Certificate or equivalent experience
Experience- 2 years to less than 3 years
Specific Skills:
Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
Requisition food and kitchen supplies
Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
Create new recipes and menu
Additional Skills:
Knowledge and experience of cooking and preparing Indian sub-continent dishes (North Indian and south Indian, East Indian & more)
Knowledge in making Tandoori dishes such as Tandoori Chicken, Tikka and Kebab
Knowledge and experience of making appetizers, Main course, such as Samosa, Pakora, Butter Chicken, Biryani, Curries and more
Experience of making Indian breads and Naans, such as, Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti
Cuisine Specialities:
Indian/ East Indian/ South Indian
