We serve traditional, innovative and authentic South Indian Cuisine including our specialty dosas, a well as curries and vegetarian specialties.

We bring our craft to your plate with unearthing traditional recipes and mastered cooking skills. We created a menu for everyone with traditional and creative recipes that pair wonderfully with our selection of wines and fine spirits. One of our main goals is to present delicious South Indian dishes with a combination of amazing flavours, tenderness and aroma to satisfy the taste of our customers, while they sit and relax enjoying the food, the atmosphere and our exceptional service. We are in need of a Restaurant Assistant Manager who will bring the same approach and experience to our business.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking to add to our team a passionate Restaurant Assistant Manager who has exceptional leadership abilities and can work collaboratively to manage the responsibilities related to restaurant operations and maintenance. We need an experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager with a great attitude and strong leadership skills to join our team. Our ideal candidate has the ability to work in a dynamic team environment, multitask, and effectively communicate with front and back of the house staff.

JOB TITLE: Restaurant Assistant Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:

  • Implement policies and procedures, evaluate the operations of the restaurant and ensure that standards are maintained
  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues
  • Monitor restaurant’s revenues and expenses, review and evaluate operational costs
  • Maintaining and inputting restaurant invoices
  • Responsible for inventory, supplies, wastes, etc. and introducing procedures to improve efficiency
  • Purchasing new ingredients, kitchen utensils, and equipment as stock is damaged or depleted
  • Participate in determining and implementing service offerings
  • Recruit, supervise staff and oversee staff training, monitor staff performance
  • Manage staff work schedule that includes opening and closing the store
  • Resolve and deescalate customer complaints
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed by all staff members
  • Gather guests’ feedback, recommend improvements and create a positive work environment
  • Other related duties as needed.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent, Full-time, Long-term


HOURS OF WORK:
40 hours per week

 

WAGES:  $26.50 per hour

 

OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations

 

BENEFITS PACKAGE:

  • Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer
  • Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis

ANTICIPATED START DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: As soon as possible

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of Secondary school is an asset
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Three years’ experience related to Restaurant Management
