Child Care Provider - Private Home (NOC 4411)

A private household situated in Surrey, BC, is looking to hire a Child Caregiver for their two children- 4 year old and a newly born baby.

Location:  14943-98A Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3R 8G6 Canada

Position Title: Child-Care Provider – Private Home (NOC 4411)

Wage: $16.00/hour; 40 to 50 hours per week

Overtime: $24.00/hour after 40 hours per week

Vacation Pay: Remuneration 4% Gross Pay

Vacancy: 1 position available

Anticipated Date:  As soon as possible

Employment Terms:  Full time and Permanent

Job requirements:

Languages: English

Education: Completion of Secondary (high) School, Completion of a training program in child care or a related field, First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training required.

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Personal Suitability: Initiative, Organized, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Effective interpersonal skills,

Main Duties: Bathe, Dress and Feed infant. Supervise and care for children; Prepare formula and change diapers for infant; Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals,  Help children with homework.

Specific Skills: Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens

Work Setting:  Employer's home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
