Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: C$ 35.20/ hour for 36 hours per week
Roofing Supervisor is expected to perform the following duties:
- Prepare production and other reports as needed
- Complete daily site inspections and hazard assessments.
- Document all verbal warnings issued to any worker on the job site and report to the Production Manager and Occupational Safety Manager.
- Complete daily safety toolbox talks.
- Properly supervise all assigned jobs in progress and ensure that workers on site are carrying out their job tasks correctly and safely.
- Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
- Train or arrange for training of the new workers
- Set up machines and equipment as needed
- Estimate costs and materials
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times
- Recommend personnel actions as needed
- Read blueprints and drawings and explain to the workers.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as per the demand of the contract.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
- Must use protective equipment, devices and clothing as required by the regulations.
Work Location: Various Places.
