- 2 years of experience in baking (Bread and Pastry)

- experience and knowledge about European Breads and Pastries and their making, and the ability to train others in those methods

- dough handling in other traditional food-producing jobs helpful (Artisan Pizza, Artisan Pasta, etc.)

- experience in handling soft and/ or sticky doughs

- knoledge with poolish, sourdoughs, levains or fermentation processes

- experience with alternative or ancient flours and grains helpful

- skills on mixing, table work and ovens

- experience to work clean and efficient in a fast pace food producion facility

- leadership and supervisor skills required for a team with up to 4 people

- self sufficient working, leading and organizing the shift, critical thinking, problem solving skills, able to work under pressure

- reliability and consistency, willing to work weekends and flexible hours in a 24 hour production

- quality oriented

- good team work is essential, empowering others, motivating the team

- physically good health and fitness, lifting up to 50lbs

 

- position available immediately

- the shift is Monday to Friday nights 9:30pm to 5:30am (with slight flexibility)

- long term position, full time, (we are looking for a commitment of minimum 1 year)

- Starting wage between $ 16.00 - 21.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience

- Blue Cross benefits after 3 month of employment
