We are currently seeking a highly motivated full-time Senior Logistics specialist for our Toronto office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and distribution, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of goods. This role also coordinates with internal teams and external partners to optimize workflows, resolve issues, and maintain high service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and coordinate daily logistics operations, including freight forwarding, tracking, and distribution services, in collaboration with warehouse teams.
  • Review work orders, client instructions, and special requirements to establish and implement daily operational schedules.
  • Assign and supervise tasks to optimize efficiency and ensure timely service aligned with individual client expectations.
  • Verify the accuracy and compliance of logistics and customs documentation.
  • Handle and respond promptly to all domestic and international communications with clients and partners to manage day-to-day logistics issues effectively.
  • Manage end-to-end shipment processes, including booking, customs clearance, cargo release, accounting, and documentation.
  • Identify and resolve operational or internal issues proactively to prevent service disruptions and uphold client satisfaction.
  • Train new team members on company procedures, compliance protocols, and software systems.
  • Report regularly to management on operational performance and workflow progress.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the logistics team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or supply chain
  • Knowledge of local and national regulations related to logistics operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication and excellent ability in interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software/systems.
