Logistics Supervisor

We are currently looking for a permanent and full-time Logistics Supervisor to join our rapidly growing team located in Burnaby BC.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and maintaining inventories of materials.

- Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments

- Train and supervise warehouse staff in daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory handling, safety procedures, and company policies

- Communicate and coordinate with Japanese- and Mandarin-speaking suppliers regarding purchase orders, product availability, inventory, shipments, delivery schedules, and other logistics-related matters.

- Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports

- Requisition supplies and materials

- Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance, problem-solving and repair work

- Perform the same duties as workers supervised when necessary

- Reviewing inventory needs and keeping adequate stock

 

Education, Skills and Experiences:

- Completion of high school

- Several years of experience as Shippers and Receivers or related occupation

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to supervise, coordinate, and support warehouse and logistics operations

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

 

Compensation: $38.40/hour, 4% paid vacation, MSP, Group Insurance, Paid Birthday Off, Paid Sick Leave (5 days per year); and Flex Day Off (1 day extra paid day off adding each year after 1 year continuous work)
