Personal Care Provider-Home Care

Employer is looking for a Permanent Full-time Personal Care Provider-Home Care for a physically disabled male adult. 

Employment Details:

• Rate per Hour: $18.00
• Hours per Week: 30
• Benefits: Will provide private insurance coverage in transition to BC Medical Services Plan and Work Safe BC
• Availability: As soon as possible
• Schedule: Usually early morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Night, to be determined in the interview

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be able to speak and understand English
• Must have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of work experience
• At least secondary school graduate in Canada or it's equivalent for foreign graduates
• Must provde a CPR and First Aid Certificate
• Must have medical examination taken for at least 1 year prior to employment

Job Responsibilities:

• Help administer medications,change non-sterile dressings,
• Administer bedside and personal care including bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene,
• Launder clothing, household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties,
• Assist clients in water (i.e. pool), assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
• Assist in collecting specimens,
• Prepare and serve nutritious, feed or assist in feeding,
• Shop for food and household supplies, and
• Provide companionship.
