Position Summary

Kami Japanese Restaurant is seeking a cook to join its team. The role requires preparing and cooking meals and dishes for customers as well as maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.  We require someone who is comfortable cooking ethnic (Japanese) food.

Job Title: Cook – Ethnic foods

Positions Available: 1

Salary: $21.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Language: English

Start Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Vacation: 4% of gross salary in lieu of vacation time

Work Location: Suite 40 2215 160 street, Surrey, BC V3S 9N6

Employment conditions: Must be available for evening, night, and weekend shifts

Education: No Degree, certificate, or diploma

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years 

 

Job Description

-Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

-Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef

-Plan menus and determine the size of food portions

-Estimate food requirements and costs, Monitor and order supplies

-Inspect kitchen and food service areas

-Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food

-Preparing and cooking all types of Japanese cuisine or special dishes

-Organize and manage buffets and banquets
