Chef

Norman Rudy’s Pub Ltd. is seeking a Chef (NOC 6241/6321) for Squamish location. It is a full-time, permanent position, 30-40 hours/week, $19.50/hour. Vacation 4%. Sorry, we do not offer any benefits. Start date as soon as possible.

As a Chef, you will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods, such as pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables and meat, poultry and fish dishes, and create decorative food displays for special events such as banquets
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
• Create new recipes
• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
• Plan menus
• May requisition food and kitchen supplies.

Requirements:

• Must have completed Cook’s trade certification or equivalent experience;
• Must have at least 2 years to less than 3 years related experience;
• Must have excellent organization skills;
• Must be able to remain calm and professional in difficult situations;
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English;
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends;
