Load and unload goods, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Pay and receive payments for goods
Job Duties
- Loading and unloading cargo.
- Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning around several provinces or cities.
- Prepare log-book of the trips completed and maintaining the accuracy of records to be in compliance with Transportation Safety Board.
- Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
- Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
- Record amount and type of cargo being delivered and also keep proof of delivery documents.
