Everyday Sunshine Childcare Ltd. is an early learning and child care centre that plans and implements programs for children between the ages of infancy and 12 years. We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator Assistant to work with us at our location 157B street, Surrey, BC. V3S 0P9

Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Position: Permanent, Full-Time 40 hours/ week.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Language: English

Education: Completion of High School is required with Experience in child care. Licensing is not mandatory as job will be to assist a Licensed Early Childhood Educator.

Experience: 2 to 3 years

Wage: C$ 19/hour

Work Site Environment: Non-Smoking

Working hours: Day, Early morning, Morning.

Specific Skills
Make plans with the Early Childhood Educator or supervisor to ensure that the environment supports the health, security and well-being of children. May need to bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers. Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Engage the children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts. Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods. Carefully observe children and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors. Teach children proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.

Additional Skills

Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties; Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records; Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children; Storytelling
