Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor (NOC 6311)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Type: Full time, Permanent positions available

Wage: $15.20/hour; 30 hours per week; 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Schedule and supervise staff
• Train staff for their positions, i.e. job duties, safety plan of action, cleanliness & disinfection
• Establish strategies to meet plans for getting work done
• Order supplies and food required for preparation
• Prepare food order summaries for the chef according to the customer
• Keep record of stock, repairs, sales & food wastage
• Oversee the assembly of food
• Ensure that food and service satisfy quality control guidelines
• May take part in the choice of food service staff and aid the improvement of approaches, techniques, and spending plans
• May plan menus and decide related food and work costs.

Working Abilities and Physical Capabilities:

•           Heavy lifting may be required

•           Ability to work long hours, early mornings and weekends are required

Language: No formal language requirement.

Employment requirement:

• Completion of secondary school education is usually required.
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline preferred
  or
  Several years of experience in food preparation or service are required.
