AMUSEMENT RIDE OPERATOR/ATTENDANT

Conditions:  Full time (40 – 44 hours per week), seasonal May 15 to October 12, 2022, Salary: $15.25 - $16.00 per hour (to be negotiated), 4% vacation pay, some overtime.                                                                                                                                                Other benefits: WSIB, accommodation in sleep quarters in the travelling trailer provided, travel between the festivals/fairs covered by the employer, employer will cover the cost of relocation. 15 positions available.

Duties:

Set up rides and amusements, Secure and release safety belts and bars, Perform routine safety checks on the equipment, Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage, Operate rides and amusements, Operate game booth, Assist patrons on and off rides, Follow the safety and hygiene rules, Clean grounds, Oversee game activities and ensure safety of participants, Sell tickets.

Requirements: 18 years and older, on-the-job training provided, experience an asset/will train, team player, good communication skills, customer service, reliable, willing to travel in Ontario to follow the festivals/ fairs schedule in the areas of Cambridge, Oshawa, Pickering, Windsor, Burlington, Whitby, Oakville, Barrie, Hamilton, Cobourg, Brockville, Ottawa, Perth, Orangeville. Working conditions: physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, fast-paced environment, attention to details, outdoor.
