Education- Secondary (High) School Graduate Certificate or equivalent experience
Experience- 2 years to less than 3 years
Specific Skills:
Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
Requisition food and kitchen supplies
Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
Create new recipes
Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
Additional Skills:
Knowledge and experience of cooking and preparing Indian sub-continent dishes (India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan)
Knowledge in making Tandoori dishes such as Tandoori Chicken, Butter Tikka and Kebab
Knowledge and experience of making appetizers, Main course, such as Samosa, Pakora, Butter Chicken, Curries and more
Experience of making Indian breads and Naans, such as, Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti
